Jungian Therapy & Psychoanalysis in New York City

Depth-Oriented Therapy for Relationships, Loss, and Inner Life

If you live in New York and are seeking psychotherapy that goes beneath symptoms, I offer in-person and remote psychoanalytic therapy for adults who want to understand themselves more fully – emotionally, relationally, and symbolically.

My work is grounded in psychoanalytic, Jungian, and relational psychotherapy, with attention to dreams, unconscious patterns, attachment, and the ways past relationships live on in the present.

Sessions are conducted both in-person and securely via telehealth, allowing New York clients to engage in meaningful, ongoing depth work from anywhere in the state.

Is This the Right Kind of Therapy for You?

You may have built a career, relationships, family, or life that looks successful from the outside—and still find yourself wondering why familiar conflicts keep returning or why achievement hasn’t answered deeper questions of meaning, identity, and belonging.

Who I work with

Successful, psychologically minded adults who may function extremely well externally but find themselves confronting:

  • midlife transition
  • relationship patterns
  • loss of meaning
  • identity
  • loneliness
  • creative blocks
  • dreams or recurring imagery
  • success that hasn’t produced fulfillment
  • previous therapy that helped but didn’t go deep enough

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Feel stuck in repeating relationship patterns

  • Experience intense reactions to endings, losses, or separations

  • Struggle with anxiety, depression, or meaninglessness that doesn’t respond to short-term therapy

  • Are intellectually curious and emotionally motivated

  • Want therapy that includes dreams, inner imagery, and symbolic meaning

  • Are interested in long-term, depth-oriented psychotherapy

Many of my New York clients are professionals, creatives, therapists, or spiritually curious individuals who want therapy that respects the complexity of psyche and soul.

How Psychoanalytic Therapy Works

Psychoanalytic therapy is not advice-giving or symptom-management alone. It is a relational process that unfolds over time.

Our work may include:

  • Exploring unconscious relational dynamics

  • Working with dreams and symbolic material

  • Understanding emotional reactions within the therapeutic relationship

  • Attending to somatic and affective experience

  • Making meaning of grief, longing, and desire

Teletherapy allows this work to happen without losing depth, and many clients find the consistency and privacy of remote sessions especially supportive.  In some ways, telehealth can be even better for depth work than in-person. Read more about why.

About My Approach

I am a depth-oriented psychotherapist with over 16 years of clinical experience, working with adults in individual and group psychotherapy.

My approach integrates:

  • Psychoanalytic & Jungian psychology

  • Relational and attachment-based therapy

  • Mindfulness-informed and somatic awareness

  • Group-as-a-whole and systems perspectives

I work slowly and carefully, honoring the pace at which insight and emotional change naturally emerge.
