Inner Life Adventures provides individual, couples, and group counseling services for a wide variety of personal growth, exploration, mental health, and career topics.

Appointments are offered in our office, local natural areas, or in the wilderness.

If you have never tried an outdoor counseling session, we urge you to give it a shot.  The benefits of counseling are increased greatly by including exercise, movement, and nature within the session.  By taking counseling out into the real world, where you live the other 167 hours a week, we are provided many more opportunities for experiential moments.

Services and Offerings

Specialties

  • Personal growth – when you feel like you are capable of so much more, but you just don’t know what it is that is holding you back.
  • Depth psychology – Beyond trying to just feel better with current stressors, we can dive in and look at how long-term life patterns help create this stress, how your personality was formed, and shifting these things to make big long lasting change.
  • Men’s issues – I work with all genders, but love helping men
  • Sexuality – expression, desires, acceptance, pornography, performance, and all things related to sex
  • Relationships – every interaction with another human being involves some level of relationship.  From friends, to neighbors, to lovers, we can study how you are in relationship to others, determine what you want, and how to get it.

  • Transpersonal exploration and growth – There is something bigger than you, even if you are not religious or spiritual – your community, your family, your country, the planet or beyond.  Looking externally into the greater systems of humanity, nature, or spiritual realms can help.

  • Life satisfaction/happiness – This is your one life.  Let’s enjoy it as much as possible.

  • Grief and loss – Job, loved one, pet, dream, we all face many losses in our life.
  • Explore how everything in your life is related. “How you do anything is how you do everything.”
  • Career – career is much larger than work, and work consumes more than 1/3 of the hours in a week (and another 1/3 is spent sleeping).  If you are not enjoying your work, there is a good chance it is affecting other parts of your life.  Some possible career topics include: career transitions (by choice or by circumstances outside of your control)
  • Challenging work situations/work relationships
  • Work related Stress
  • Any concern you have that you would like to explore our approach of acceptance, non-violence, mindfulness, present moment, experiential, assisted self-study.
