Our clients are common everyday people like you and I. Our clients are members of our community involved at all levels, from highly successful leaders and teachers to your next-door neighbor.  Here at Inner Life Adventures, we welcome all people from every race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, socio-economic status, class, or any other classification you may have been given.  We find labels don’t really define us completely, so we work to break free of them as much as possible, including diagnosis.  We firmly believe we are all human beings and, while we are all unique, we are also more alike than different. All are welcome here.

In your process to assess if Inner Life Adventure would be a good fit for you, we encourage you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with one of our therapists.  In this brief session we will explore how we could work together, what are your intentions, and then begin paperwork (if we decide to continue meeting).  If you want to skip the consultation, you can print and complete the paperwork ahead of time and we’ll get right to work.

Rates: We are a proponent of affordable and accessible healthcare for everybody, including both physical and mental health care. Therefore, we’ve chosen to limit our participation in the managed care system.  To make our services available to the widest possible population, we have a base rate of $120 per clinical hour.  Further, we work with a sliding scale and have a limited number of reduced fee services available if we determine a good fit, you are interested in the work we discuss, and cost is the primary barrier to service.

If you do have insurance and wish to use it, we can electronically submit sessions for you.  We are an in-network provider with several insurance companies and will handle submissions for you (if we are not in network).  Be aware that insurance companies require a diagnosis and may request documentation justifying need for services.

We move to empower you at all times.  You always have a choice to continue services or not.  We strive to maintain open communication and feedback throughout and sometimes utilize a session rating scale at the end of sessions to determine what is working and what needs to be different.  You are always in control.

In addition to a free initial consultation, when it’s time for us to end or suspend our work together, we may request a final, closure session at no cost to you to review where we’ve been and what did (and didn’t) work in our sessions.  I don’t charge for the final session because I use it for information gathering for my practice.  We always welcome feedback during our sessions, and we’ll sometimes pause and take stock just to check-in with each other about how sessions feel and how they match both of our expectations.

Give us a call today to schedule your first appointment or to further discuss how we can serve you.  You can find the forms we will use at the first session on the forms page.  Please print them out to read and complete before the first session to maximize the time we can spend talking about the most relevant topics for you.
