In order to determine if counseling will be a good fit for both of us, you may choose to have a free 30 min consultation. In this session we will discuss how we could work together, what your intentions are, and complete paperwork if we decide to continue meeting. If you want to skip the consultation. You can print and complete the paperwork ahead of time and we'll get right to work. If you are not confident that we can help, we'll refund your first session.
Rates
I am a proponent of affordable and accessible healthcare for everybody, including both physical and mental health care. Therefore, I choose not to participate in the managed care system. To make our services available to the widest possible population, we have a base rate that is extremely affordable. Our rate is $75 per clinical hour, which you will find is lower than the average rate in our area. Further, we work with a sliding scale and have a limited number of reduced fee services available if we determine a good fit, you are interested in the work we discuss, and the cost is the only barrier to service.
If you do have insurance and wish to use it, we are able to provide you with an itemized invoice including diagnostic and service codes, NPI number, EIN, and State of CO registration number which will contain all information necessary for you to submit a claim to you insurance for reimbursement as an out of network provider if you have this benefit. Check with your insurance company to be sure you are eligible.
We move to empower you at all times. You always have a choice to continue services or not. We strive to maintain open communication and feedback, throughout and sometimes utilize a session rating scale at the end of sessions to determine what is working and what needs to be different. You are always in control.
In addition to a free initial consult, when it’s time for us to end or suspend our work together, I may request a final, closure session at no cost to you to review where we’ve been and what worked (and didn’t) in our sessions. I don’t charge for the final session because I use it for information gathering for my practice. I welcome feedback during our sessions, and we’ll sometimes pause and take stock just to check-in with each other about how sessions feel and how they match both of our expectations.
